Agata Lis

I was born and raised in Przemyśl. I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław and graduated with a  Master's Degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Painting, from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland. My inspirations come from observing my environment. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by nature, human beings and their habitats. I have always had an interest in subjects based in the humanities. Painting is not only an expression of my experiences and feelings but also aids in my personal growth. In art, I seek harmony and truth. I primarily work with oil paints on linen canvases. Over the years, I have participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Belgium, England, Italy, Poland, and Spain. My works are in collections in Canada, England, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Taiwan, and the United States of America.

In 2007 I received The Creative Scholarship Of The City Of Cracow In The Field Of Art, and in the same year - The Distinction in Competition of Franciszka Eibisch in Warsaw. In 2012 I received The Distinction in "The Art Kudos International Competition". In 2018, the Italian newspaper L` Osservatore Romano, in the article "In pochi a lottare per la vita" published the reproduction of my painting "Prayers for peace".
