Horse-like-creatures and other stories by Grzegorz Skrzypek

Old tales speak of a bloodthirsty tribe of Psiogłów (Dog-head), Slavic highlanders and werewolves; has anyone heard of nice-sounding equines? Grzegorz Skrzypek will present these and other heavenly creatures on his surreal canvases during the exhibition at the Art in House Auction House. Vernissage on March 11 at 19:00 at Aleje Jerozolimskie 107 in Warsaw!

The exhibition will last until March 21 and can be viewed from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00. The exhibition of Grzegorz Skrzypek’s works will delight especially those adults who have not stopped looking at the world through the eyes of a child: we will also try to introduce serious and static viewers to the fairy-tale atmosphere. We encourage you to make extremely interesting acquaintances with equines, a long-legged race or a lady with an ermine; maybe they will prove valuable enough to take your new friends home …

Grzegorz Skrzypek is an artist born in 1970 in Sosnowiec. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts. Jan Matejko in Krakow. He received a diploma in easel painting in the studio of Professor Włodzimierz Kunz, and an annex in drawing in the studio of Professor Sławomir Karpowicz. A member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists and the “GOŁONÓG” artistic group from Dąbrowa. Teacher of drawing and painting at the Art School Complex in Dąbrowa Górnicza. He creates cycles of pastel and oil still lifes and landscapes, paintings and drawings of “KONIOSTWORÓW” as well as cycles of portraits and caricatures.
The crazy world of “KONIOSTWORÓW” are compositions popping out of the artist’s imagination, in which sometimes lonely, sometimes in flocks are presented beings full of sound, movement and form enclosed in their intimate worlds. Grzegorz Skrzypek arouses great interest in art galleries and presents his paintings at art auctions in auction houses. The artist’s works are in private collections in the country and abroad.
