#stayhome and bid online!
Does the auction market stop working during quarantine? Does pandemic mean the end of art? Does auctioning cease to be right?
We answer all these questions: NO.
During quarantine, the activity of auction houses moves to the world of the Internet and telephones that allow bidding without leaving home. So if you are art lovers and look forward to new auctions on the Polish art market, we encourage you to read our short guide: how to bid during quarantine so as not to break the rules of isolation?

Love during the plague – Sabina Maria Grzyb. Art online for coronavirus time.
First of all: make your auction choices
First of all, read our online catalog: all upcoming auctions can be found in the tab with the same name (click). If you are a supporter of paper catalogs, you will be able to download them in pdf format on the selected auction page.
Second: choose a bidding method
1. Telephone auction
Just send an e-mail (aukcje@artinhouse.pl) or call us (+48 510 211 410) with information about your willingness to bid by phone, indicating selected items from the catalog. You must also provide us with your name, surname, e-mail address and contact number. An auction house employee will call you shortly before the auction to check the phone connection, and then at selected auction facilities that you want to bid on. You will be kept informed of the situation in the hall and bidding progress and asked about your auction decisions – when you decide to raise the bid (the employee always transfers a specific amount, e.g. “Would you like to raise to PLN 2,000?”), We will raise the auction plate with a number on your behalf.
2. Online bidding
You should register or log in to the Onebid.pl portal and find the auction you are interested in among the upcoming offers. If you are bidding for the first time, the system will ask you for a verification transfer of PLN 1 (that’s why we invite you to register in the system a little earlier, about two days before the auction). Auctioning in the Onebid.pl system will take place at the same time as the auction in the hall; you’ll also see a live stream from the auction site. Participation in the auction consists in raising the price using the appropriate buttons on the website. You can find our online offer here.
3. Bidding with a limit order
You should contact us by phone (+48 510 211 410) or by e-mail (aukcje@artinhouse.pl) and specify the maximum amount that you would like to spend on the indicated work from the catalog. You must also provide us with your name, surname, e-mail address and contact number. During the auction, an employee of the auction house will pick up a number plate for you, trying to bid for a job at a price that is most favorable to the customer.
Electronic Form
In the case of a telephone or limited auction, we encourage you to use our electronic form, which will open after clicking on the “PLACE ORDER” button. You will find it at every item in the catalog. The form allows you to choose one of two bidding options (“with limit” / “by phone”).
I bid the job. What now?
If you won an artwork on our art auction, we will send the auction settlement to the e-mail address provided as the basis for payment. It includes a hammer price, an auction fee of 18% of the auctioned amount and, in some cases, a droit de suite fee.
Payment for the auctioned object should be made within 7 calendar days from the end of the auction. We accept payment in cash, by credit card, bank transfer or PayPal. Due to the current situation related to the coronavirus pandemic, we encourage you to pay online.
We also ask for feedback on picking up the job: if you choose courier, please provide the parcel delivery address.
