50th Auction of New Art with The Frame at Art in House

The jubilee art auction at the Art in House Auction House is ahead of us – for the 50th time we share with you the joy of New Art. We have collected as many as 107 works in the catalog (paintings, sculptures and graphics), which can be auctioned on April 16 at 7:30 pm at Art in House (Aleje Jerozolimskie 107, Warsaw). Thanks to the cooperation with The Frame, we have prepared a surprise for you, which is an alliance of new technologies and art.

This is an amazing treat – the buyer of the most expensive item at the art auction will return home not only with the auctioned work, but also with The Frame TV and one year of free access to the Art Store collection. The Frame is a TV set that invites you to visit the world’s largest art galleries without leaving your home. Through the Art Store collection in The Frame, we can access 1,400 works of art from e.g. the Prado museum in Madrid, the Albertina in Vienna, the Tate Modern gallery in London, the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, the state Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg or LUMAS. Thanks to the cooperation with these institutions, users can use The Frame not only as a TV, but as a hub for discovering the world’s most beautiful works of art – and display it on The Frame screen like a picture in a frame.

 

The catalog is opened by artists well known to you from previous auctions at Art in House: Wojtek Brewka with twins, Tomasz Kostecki with Mahnattan in art deco style, Andrejus Kovelinas with a spinning ballet, Hanna Kłopotowska and the consistent “No pasarán!”, Edward Dwurnik and three compositions ( city, tulip, eye), Joanna Sarapata and a subtle act, Maria Szypluk rebelling for a reason or Agnieszka Sitko with shrouds in a tricolor.

 

A strong group consists of figurative images: Grzegorz Kufel’s retro date, the mysterious herbalist Campia, Łukasz Biliński’s inner child, Beata Musiał-Tomaszewska’s Spanish tango, David Patarai’s Georgian tea collection, Mir Biały’s wedding, the dancing creatures of Katarzyna Słowiańska-Kucz and Jan Dubrowin’s fairy tales. References to the current socio-political reality can be found in the poster of Szymon Szymankiewicz and the abstract icon of Aleksander Grzybek.

Among the sculptures there will be Poliszynel by Marcin Myśliwiec, centaur Arek Szwed, timeless girlfriend by Jacek Opała and horse Dirty Dancing by Adam Kołakowski.

All works will be on display at Art in House (Al. Jerozolimskie 107, Warsaw) during the pre-auction week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Detailed instructions on the bidding process and the rules of the auction can be found on the website of the auction house.
