Piotr Trusik’s exhibition at Art in House

Art in House Auction House and the Online Gallery invite you to their headquarters in Warsaw (Al. Jerozolimskie 107) for a vernissage and an exhibition of paintings by Piotr Trusik. The vernissage will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 6.00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Auction House and Online Art in House Gallery – Al. Jerozolimskie 107, Warsaw.

 

Piotr Trusik was born in 1994. He graduated from the Graphics Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He works in painting, drawing and design. He is, among others, a five-time scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as well as a three-time scholarship holder of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His painted paintings have been exhibited, among others, in the Louvre in Paris, as well as in Tokyo, New York, Sand Diego, Birmingham and many other places around the world. Art is Piotr Trusik’s great passion, which prompts him to deepen his expression, persist in it, and create constantly.

The exhibition “Memorial Portrait” is an internal journey of Piotr Trusik through emotions, feelings related to people’s memories, fragments that we remember, remain in our memory as imperfect images. They remain in dialogue with reality and the recognizable world, confronted with the artist’s imagination and fantasy.

For Piotr Trusik, sketching is very important in implementing these ideas. In a painting, each artist tries to do everything to make it “good”. According to the artist, it is often “a suffocated, uncomfortable truth”. In a sketch, in turn, you can allow yourself to do everything: break, destroy and cross out with irresponsible movements. Throw away without too much loss. Compared to creating an image, don’t regret doing it.

 

 

However, we should appreciate these sketches, because often in the process of creating a sketch something we do not expect. As if emotions were flowing directly through our hand, creating something very direct.

– The creative process is an important and intimate thing. Each creator is inspired by different things, people, stimuli or emotions. While working, I not only touch the canvas or paper with a crayon or brush. I think a lot about life, passing and myself. I always wonder how much an artist should reveal, talk about his works so as not to reveal too much – says Piotr Trusik.
