Agata Kleczkowska

Agata Kleczkowska was born in 1987 in Warsaw. She graduated from Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (she obtained her diploma in 2012 in Leon Tarasewicz's studio). Her work includes painting, drawing and textile art. The subject of her paintings are animals, which have been assigned various symbolic meanings since ancient times and which constituted a pretext for questions about the supernatural world and the mystery of existence. The power of these works is largely related to the contrasting effect achieved by placing images of animals on an abstract background full of sharp colors.
