Aleksandra Łatecka

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in 2016 she defended her diploma with dean's honors in painting in the studio of prof. Andrzej Rysiński, and an annex to the diploma in artistic graphics in the studio of prof. Piotr Smolnicki. Finalist of the competition for the Siemen Artistic Award in 2016 and finalist of the competition Nowy Obraz / Nowe Spojrzenie in 2017. She took part in numerous exhibitions in art galleries, including: At the Artist's House in Warsaw in 2016, at the Academy Salon in Warsaw in 2016, at the Arsenał City Gallery in Poznań in 2017, at the BWA Gallery in Gorzów Wielkopolski in 2017. Her works deal directly with the problem of defining space in an image. They should be considered in the category of the spatial analysis of a painting object, because the compositions exist on the difficult to define border between traditional painting and sculpture. Drawing elements in both, she built her interpretation of space in which tectonics, dynamics and depth contradict the two-dimensional nature of the fragmented form of the canvas.
