Aleksandra Zielińska-Misiun
Aleksandra Zielińska-Misiun – graduate of the Department of Clothing at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. [...] Using a brush and a spatula... is boring. I spread paints on the canvas using various tools, e.g. rulers. When creating paintings, I like to watch thickly applied colors of oil paint mix on the canvas - it's fascinating! This way of "painting" creates unpredictable, surprising visual and structural effects, which makes the works unique. [...] The uniqueness of my paintings is best seen up close.
The "Woman" series is a collection of abstract paintings in which I focus on the subject of the female silhouette. Illusory figures presented in the paintings, seen through the eyes of the imagination, are immortalized in various situations and poses with paint expressively applied to the canvas. The "View" series is a collection of abstract landscapes from different parts of the world, as well as imaginary landscapes.
In the works, metaphor appears, imagination plays, tools change, and in addition to color, structure dominates. The paintings take us on a safe journey, encouraging a moment of relaxation and rest.
