Alfred Aberdam
Alfred Aberdam was born in 1894 in Lviv. He died in 1963 in Paris. His studies at the Munich Academy were interrupted by the sudden outbreak of World War I. He began his studies again in 1921, studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under the supervision of prof. Teodor Axentowicz. Then the painter studied in Berlin, and his career developed in Paris, where he participated in numerous exhibitions.
Initially, Aberdam painted landscapes, figural compositions and still lifes, to later turn towards expression. His compositions contain references to biblical and mythological themes.
Aberdam's painting has been presented in Geneva, London, Israel, Lviv and Warsaw.
