Alicja Słaboń-Urbaniak

Alicja Słaboń-Urbaniak was born in Kraków. Currently, he lives and works in the village of Modlnica near Krakow. In 1988, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She received a distinction and a medal for her diploma thesis. Since graduating, he has been constantly engaged in artistic work. By practicing easel painting, the artist has developed her own recognizable style, consisting in simplifying, flattening the space, sometimes reminiscent of naive painting or primitive art, always filled with the richness of color and textures, but the freedom to use the workshop, the masterful sense of color leaves no illusions that we have dealing with a professional artist.

Since her first exhibition in 1990, the artist has shown her paintings at many individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He constantly collaborates with galleries in Denmark, Germany, Scotland, Japan and, of course, in Poland. Her works are in museums and private collections in the USA, Japan, Germany, France, Scandinavia.
