DISPLAYS: Alojzy Roman Kawecki lived in the years 1868-1938. He was a colonel in the imperial and royal army cavalry, a brigadier general of the Polish Army and a painter. He devoted himself to painting only after being transferred to the reserve.
He exhibited his works at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Lviv in 1909 and 1924, in Tarnopol in 1912 and at Zachęta in Warsaw in 1937. He most often painted oil paintings such as landscapes, portraits of prominent artists, exotic Moroccan scenes or historical compositions.
