Artur Cieślar
Artur Cieślar was born in 1967. He is a graduate of Romance Philology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He worked as a journalist and reporter, traveled a lot around Asia and beyond. He is the author of the interview books: "Metaphysical Woman" and "Metamusical Woman", author of interviews-rivers with Małgorzata Braunek, Jadwiga Staniszkis, Julia Hartwig, as well as the novels: "Black Cat at Night" and "Ułuda".
In 2014, Artur Cieślar began his adventure with painting. He arranged for admission to the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, to the studio of prof. Stanisław Baj. He was accepted into it during the cycle of studies at the Open Academy.
He loves painting marabou, which he observed during his travels to Africa. He calls them "bird-people" and made them the main theme of his art. They are his hallmark. He creates them in oil, acrylic and watercolor technique. He also makes them using papier-mâché technique.
