DISPLAYS: Georges Braque was born on May 13, 1882 in Argenteuil, died on August 31, 1963 in Paris. He studied at night at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and at other art schools in Paris. Initially, he created under the influence of impressionism, then fauvism and the art of Cézanne. Together with Picasso, he created the theory of cubism and introduced it into his painting. He unfolded the object, showing it on the canvas from all sides simultaneously, thus approaching abstraction.
