Gossia Zielaskowska
Gossia Zielaskowska was born in 1983. Diploma in Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań in 2009. She is a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2008/2009), a laureate of the Grand Prix of the 1st National Zadra Painting Competition, Zadra Gallery, Warsaw (2008). She participated in the International Art Fair in Istanbul, in the exhibition of young Polish artists "Horizon" (Turkey, 2012) and SCOPE Miami (USA, 2012). Her works have been qualified to the International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence (Italy, 2009).
She was 19th in the ranking of young Polish artists Kompas Sztuki (2014). Participant of group exhibitions, including: II International Painting Competition "Public Space - Contexts", Zamek Culture Center, Poznań (2010); Ground Art Warsaw Festival, Fibak Gallery, Warsaw (2011); Final of the 42nd Bielsko Biennale Autumn (2015) Galeria BWA Bielsko-Biała; Author of individual exhibitions, including: "A dream from a bottle of orangeade", Galeria Bekos, Poznań (2008); "Painting", Galeria Zadra, Warsaw (2009); "Feminine intuition" and "Space of gesture", Galeria Fibak, Warsaw (2010, 2014); "Lost Map", Contemporary Art Gallery PROFIL, Zamek Culture Center, Poznań (2017), "Teraz Teraz", collective exhibition, National Museum in Krakow Szołayski Tenement House (2018).
Zielaskowska's paintings have gained recognition from prestigious contemporary art galleries and auction houses.
