Grażyna Zarzecka

Grażyna Zarzecka was born on September 17, 1954 in Wodzisław Śląski. Painter, colorist, educator, promoter of culture. Member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. In 1981, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. Jan Matejko in Krakow. She prepared her thesis in the studio of prof. Jan Szancenbach. Before she obtained an index of the Krakow university, she studied the secrets of painting with Jadwiga Smykowska and Zbysław Marek Maciejewski. She has twice received a creative scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art and also received the Award of the Mayor of Rybnik in the field of culture twice. He has about 70 individual exhibitions, including: Palace of Art - Krakow (2001 and 2013), Gallery Artistic Kocioł - Krakow, Gallery of Polish Radio "Live" (five times), Gallery "Under the postal trumpet" - Gorzów Wielkopolski , Galeria Kancelaria Adwokackie - Zakopane, Galeria "Mlejn" - Ostrawa. Dozens of group exhibitions, including: Ostrava, Bonn, Cologne, Brussels. Her works are in museums and private collections in Poland and abroad.

Dr. Dorota Grubba-Thiede from the Polish Institute of World Art Studies in Warsaw wrote about her painting in the catalog In a Structural Place of Art: "All the paintings built by Grażyna Zarzecka are actually >> the only such paintings in the world," to recall the literal, as if symbolic an image of a man walking with a cat ”. Cooperation with the Independent Film Club operating at the Cultural Center in Rybnik-Chwałowice. In the years 2001-2003 Grażyna Zarzecka collaborated with the KFN as a screenwriter ("Rzeźbiarz" 2002) and an actress ("Jaskinia" 2003). In 2004, the film "Sculptor" was broadcast all over the world (Europe, Asia, Russia, Australia, USA, Canada, South America) via a satellite channel from the digital platform - "KINO POLSKA TV". In Poland, this channel can be received via satellite and cable TV networks. The first broadcasts of the film "Rzeźbiarz" on the "Kino Polska TV" channel took place on February 6, 7 and 10, and June 4 and 5, 2004.

Grażyna Zarzecka has been involved in teaching and promoting culture in the region for many years. She worked in cultural institutions in Wodzisław and Rybnik. She started her career as a teacher at the Out-of-School Work Center in Wodzisław Śląski, where she worked in the 1980s, then she worked at MOK in Wodzisław, leading an art group for adults. An important stage in Ms Zarzecka's teaching career was the teaching post at Primary School No. 9 in Wodzisław Śląski. She became famous for introducing elements of art history in art lessons. She encouraged students to participate in art competitions. Many of them have won awards. In the years 1998 - 2008 she ran the art group "Magic of Color" at the Rybnik Power Plant Foundation. The last institution that Grażyna Zarzecka became associated with was the Rural Cultural Center in Gorzyce. In every place with which she was associated, she organized exhibitions of renowned Polish artists as well as painting workshops for professionals and young people. Ms Zarzecka's students fulfill themselves as artists, graphic designers and designers. There are also a dentist and an archaeologist among them. During her cooperation with Klub Energetyka (now the EDF Foundation in Rybnik), she became famous as an organizer of artistic events. One of the most interesting events was the exhibition combined with a fashion show - all the creations were designed and made by the artist.
