Iwona Gabryś
Iwona Gabryś was born in 1988. In the years 2009 - 2012 she studied at the College of Fine Arts in Kazimierz Dolny (a branch of the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin) in the field of graphics - studies completed in 2012 with a bachelor's degree with distinction from the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Then she continued her studies at the Faculty of Arts at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. In 2014, she defended her master's diploma and painting annex. Scholarship holder of the Rector of UMCS.
In her paintings he takes on various issues regarding human and the social and cultural space in which he functions on a daily basis. She presents it in a metaphorical way. By using various systems of geometric forms, she tries to create the illusion of three-dimensional, abstract space. The works feature varied painting matter - a juxtaposition of fragments of a glaze underpainting and a carbon sketch with a dense texture of paint. The images are characterized by a narrow range of colors.

2013 - Distinction in the All Colors of the European Union competition for a work entitled Spring
2012 - III place in the 2nd National Art Competition for illustration to the lyrics of Jeremy Przybora's songs for the work entitled The old man's life is happy
