Joanna Sołtan

JOANNA SOŁTAN (UR.1969) - Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She studied painting in the studio of Łukasz Korolkiewicz and Włodzimierz Pawlak. She graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Design with a diploma with honors under the supervision of Jerzy Porębski. A graduate of the renowned Secondary School of Fine Arts in Supraśl. She ran an original design studio, specializing in the arrangement of residences and palaces. Member of the Association of Polish Watercolor Artists and the European Confederation of Watercolor Societies. The artist operates in several media - oil, watercolor and acrylic. It shows the reality that gives the awareness of transcendence. Matter reveals itself as the interpenetration of the simultaneously functioning conscious and subconscious dimensions. In her works, penetration is a symbol of the multidimensionality of man and his world. This peculiar weave - the history of the family, places of existence, relationships, feelings, experiences, builds the spiritual energy of the image. It is this energy that communicates with the viewer on an energetic, subconscious and conscious level. She paints with dynamics. It belongs to the trend of abstractionism and expressionism. She obtains her characteristic style thanks to the technique of splashing and pouring highly saturated pigments. Her works have taken part in dozens of international exhibitions in Poland and abroad - in Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
