Kamila Kowalik
I was born in Lublin in 1975 and have been painting since my early years.
I initially developed my artistic skills during classes at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Lublin. My real encounter with the easel and palette took place at the State High School of Fine Arts in Lublin, from which I graduated in 1995.
I learned to look through the eyes of an artist, compose space on canvas, operate with color and texture at the Faculty of Arts of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, from which I graduated with a diploma in painting in 2000.
Regardless of my professional experience, I always return to art to look deep into my imagination.
I paint mainly with acrylics on canvas. I like to mix different media, experiment. I have developed my own technique, sometimes combined with oil paint.
The subject matter of my works is rather narrow. I am inspired by female emotions, passions. I feel the need to capture them and enclose them in a form on canvas.
Women are very close to me. I am interested in their emotions, stories, uniqueness, which is why they most often appear in my paintings presented in various cycles.
Detail is very important to me in my creation. I devote a lot of time to it on my canvases. Details, the technique of applying paint, the created structure, the number of layers, and also the tools of the work - these are the components thanks to which my paintings become original and unique.
One of my dreams is to continue to create and implement new ideas without restrictions, which sometimes come unexpectedly.
Another is to reach as many recipients as possible who are looking for art for themselves.
We will inform you about new artworks availability in the gallery or at the auction.
