Karol Wieczorek

Karol Wieczorek was born in 1949 in Bytom. In 1972, he graduated with honors and a medal from the Faculty of Painting and Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. For several decades, he has been creating paintings, drawings, graphics, sculptures, and installations. His psychedelic work, difficult to categorize into one particular style, consists of fairy-tale scenes, body deformities, caricatured shapes, and vivid colors. On his dreamlike journey through styles and epochs, Wieczorek is consistently striving to discover absolute beauty.
