Krystyna Korczakowska- Nosek
Krystyna Korczakowska-Nosek was born in Ostrołęka. She is a graduate of the postgraduate program at the Faculty of Painting at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where she studied in the Painting Studio under Prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk and the Artistic Textile Studio under Dr. Małgorzata Buczek-Śledzińska, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts. She works in the fields of oil painting and unique handmade paper.
She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including at the Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Galeria Lamelli in Krakow, Depot Gallery in Lublin, the Provincial Public Library in Krakow, Ostrołęka Gallery, the Weaving Gallery Jatki in Wrocław, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery "Academy in Bronowice," the Museum of the Biec Region, the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Suwałki, and in exhibitions accompanying the 15th International Triennial of Tapestry in Łódź.
She has also participated in the Kurpie Open-Air Painting Festival and the Ostrołęka Art Festival. Her solo exhibitions include shows at the Museum of Romanticism in Opinogóra (featuring “Light” and “Journey”), the Central Museum of Textiles, and the Municipal Public Library in Łódź (“Polish Robe Belts – Inspirations. Handmade Paper.”). Her work was also exhibited at the Museum of Paper and Print in the Geyer Gardens in Łódź, including the exhibition "Tapestry Songs. Handmade Paper", from July 15, 2024, to November 30, 2024.
