Krzysztof Wiśniewski

Krzysztof Wiśniewski was born on April 15, 1960 in Chełmża. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. For many years he has lived and worked in Lipno.

For years, Wiśniewski, who has been dealing with landscape painting, is currently working in the trend of magical realism. His surreal compositions are often a combination of blue, violet and pink. Using such colors, the artist presents visions of the future world by weaving symbolic content into the images. Wiśniewski wants to emphasize the uncertainty of the passing time, which affects the fate of humanity.

In 2002, he exhibited his paintings in Cordes in southern France. In 2011 in DKŚ in Warsaw, and then in Szczyrk, Iława and the Contemporary Art Gallery in Włocławek. He also participated in collective exhibitions, incl. the VII Włocławek Art Triennial at the Art Gallery in December 2015 and "Magical Dreams III Warsaw" at the Center for the Promotion of Culture in Praga Południe in January 2016.
