Lech Pierchała

I was born in 1980 in Rybnik (southern Poland) where I live to this day. In 2000, I started studies at the Art Department of the Art Institute of the University of Silesia in Katowice. I obtained a diploma with a specialization in painting in 2005. under the supervision of prof. Jerzy Wroński (1930-2016), a great artist, including a member of the "Krakow Group" and a great man. In my work, I use a variety of techniques, but I have subordinated the whole to drawing. I consider 2003 to be the beginning of my own autonomous creative path, when I started drawing for the first time with a black pen, which is my natural working tool to this day. In the meantime, oil and acrylic appear, but the painting, color and stain do not give me satisfaction.
