DISPLAYS: Ludwik Maciąg lived in years 1920-2007. He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, and then from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (he graduated in 1951). He was an academic lecturer, and then in the years 1969-1972 - dean of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
His favorite subjects in his work were horses, battle and landscapes. He is counted among the greatest creators of paintings with battle representations, as well as the best landscape painters.
