Małgorzata Karczmarzyk
Polish interdisciplinary artist who combines artistic creativity with academic and educational activities. She is a lecturer, painter, photographer, performer, educator, tutor, community worker, trainer, model, writer, and educator. She has authored over 60 publications related to pedagogy, education through art, artistic education, children's drawing, painterly dialogue, art semiotics, visual communication, media education, and emancipation in art. She has had approximately 60 exhibitions both in her home country and abroad. She has conducted art workshops in Poland, Sweden, Turkey, Germany, Ireland, the USA, Ukraine, and Portugal, among other places. In her artistic and research work, she strives to bridge the conceptual framework of art and science, demonstrating that these fields are only seemingly distant from each other. She was born on January 26, 1976, in Gdańsk. She earned her bachelor's degree in pedagogy from the University of Gdańsk in 2000. In 2003, she received her diploma from the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, under the guidance of Professor Maciej Świeszewski. In 2010, she obtained a doctoral degree in humanities, specializing in pedagogy, based on the defense of her doctoral thesis titled "Meanings and Communicative Potential of a Six-Year-Old Child's Drawings."
