Małgorzata Kosiec

Małgorzata Kosiec studied (1995-2000) at the Faculty of Graphics and Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts W. Strzemiński in Łódź - she received a diploma with honors in 2000. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and Art. Finalist of the International Young Art 2002 program at Sotheby's auction house. She has exhibited in New York, Tel-Aviv, Amsterdam, Denver, Gotheborg, Malmo, London and Poland.

It is permanently represented by the leading Swedish galleries in Gotheborg, Malmo and Stockholm. Appreciated for the unique portrait technique and the combination of modern visual means with the heritage of the great masters of painting. Her paintings have found their way to prestigious collections in Poland and abroad.

The artist's work runs simultaneously in two directions: the so-called typographic portraits, where the image is built of layers of letters, words and symbols, as well as large-format abstractions. Both of these trends are linked by multi-layeredness, searching for depth and mystery.
