Marcin Kokoszko

Marcin Kokoszko born in Warsaw 14.03.1986.

Studies painting at the Faculty of Painting, Maria Skłodowska - Curie University in Lublin. He is engaged in broadly defined visual arts: installations, objects, painting, drawings, photography. 

His primary interest lies within turpistic aesthetics, although it does not affect his choice of subject or creative process.

The collection of paintings and other works of art base on the concept of a man’s "nervous system". They are ethereal, abrupt, bear the signs of certain poetic minimalism, where the object is rotten in aesthetics, a dying excitement, a delirium ...

The paintings are characterized by a graphic formula that uses little to no color. Rarely are the paintings a form of "pure" abstraction. Usually the starting point of the authors work are scrapaspects found in the surrounding reality; something worth remembering that was oncepossibly a childhood imagination, an observed aspect of the world, that had been engraved in canvas of one’s sensitivity or subordinated to the theme of the exhibition. The approach and the means used to create each painting are unique to that work of art.
