Marek Kamieński

Marek Kamieński was born in 1953 in Katowice. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in the department of graphics. In 1983, his first individual exhibition took place. He is a painter, draftsman, author of films and installations. He is also one of the main representatives of the 'new expression' painting of the 1980s. The artist combined various styles and motifs in his works - 'he combined pop-art style with wildly applied paint', he also referred to futuristic stylistics, and each of his works was characterized by unconventionality.
The artist's works have been exhibited at over forty individual and collective exhibitions, at many art fairs and film festivals.
