Maria Bitka
Maria Bitka was born in Opole in 1986. Diploma in the studio of prof. Aleksandra Janik defended her studies at the Art Institute of the University of Opole in 2010. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and a PhD student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She obtained a diploma at the department of intermedia in the studio of media activities of prof. Antoni Porczak in 2013.
During her studies, she was on a scholarship at the Art Institute at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the USA, at the Academy of Art Architecture and Design in Prague and the Universidad Nacional de Artes in Buenos Aires. In 2011, she received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture for the Black Boxes of Dreams project. Currently, she works as a teacher at the Art Secondary School in Opole. As a hobby, she sings in the traditional singing group Niezłe Ziółka. Co-founder of the artistic group Curators.
