Paweł Bienkiewicz
Paweł Bienkiewicz was born in Poland, in 1962. He creates abstract works. In his paintings, he tries to capture the beauty of momentary states of matter and its changes. In analogue, physical works, he imitates nature, deforms the canvas before painting, paints the momentary deformation and then returns to the form of a plane, creating a picture ready for framing.
In his digital works, he consistently develops his own technique, which he calls HYBRID PAINTING. In this technique, a painting is often created first on canvas. It constitutes a matrix for the further creative process, based on photographic collage and digital painting. The result is a digital work that is not a literal photograph of the matrix but a digitally modified alternative. In this way, the author wants to create a reference to the possibility of functioning of every aspect of our reality in other, parallel universes. The works created in this way are ready for publication as a file or print in archival quality in limited editions. The matrices used become individual works of art or are subject to further modifications.
Paweł Bienkiewicz uses the pseudonym "pablo" in his works, wearing an elliptical logo.
