Ryszard Woźniak

Ryszard Woźniak is a painter, publicist and educator. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1976-81 (professor Stefan Gierowski's studio). He is the co-founder of the iconic GROUP and co-editor of the magazine OJ DOBRZE JUŻ. In the 1990s, he ran the School of Art in Warsaw (together with Jerzy Modzelewski and Marek Sobczyk). He was a member of the Collective Animation Movement of Artistic Activity, he created the Zielona Góra Studio of Free Choice. In the years 1992-2021 he was a professor of Painting at the University of Zielona Góra. He created artistic concepts known as "The Art of Opposition" and "The Art of Admiration", and won the most important Polish artistic awards. His paintings are in museum and private collections.
