Sylwia Caban

Sylwia Caban - visual artist, born in 1969 in Lublin. In 1994 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Painting.  In 2018, she received a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. 
She works in visual arts, painting, sculpture and drawing. She is a lecturer in painting and drawing at WIT, Faculty of Graphic Arts 
Warsaw. Participant of Polish, international and foreign plein-airs.  Curator of several exhibitions of contemporary art. She presented her works at 22 individual exhibitions and participated in 60 Polish and foreign group shows. 
She was a scholarship holder of the French government and the Minister of Culture and Art. She held a six-month creative internship in the field of painting 
at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Perpignan, France. She spent a year-long artistic residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts Foundation in Paris.
 Her works are in the collections of "Studio" Gallery, "Correction" Gallery and private collections.
