Urszula Potemkowska

As an artist, I specialize in creating geometric abstract paintings that balance simple colour palettes with complex layers and textures. Drawing on my background in architecture, I approach each canvas as a structure to be built, layering unrecognizable geometric and organic forms to create a multidimensional work of art. To add depth to my paintings, I use oil paints on linen canvas collages, adding another dimension to the traditional planar surface.

I carefully select my colors for my works. My paintings are characterized by a balanced and reduced color palette.

While my paintings may seem simple at first glance, upon closer observation they reveal a hidden richness of layers, textures and details. Viewed from different perspectives and different angles they show their structure and multilayeredness.

In 2021, my works were exhibited at the Azur Gallery in Madrid, my works were auctioned by the auction house ArtLibra, they are also regularly put on auction by the auction house Stockholms Auktionswerk in Hamburg.
