Weronika Leczkowska
An artist for whom upcycling collage art has become a true form of expression. She is known for her unique approach to sacred art — discovering and restoring damaged religious figures, and transforming them into new, contemporary art objects.
In her work, she uses not only adhesives, paints, and varnishes, but also old fabrics, strings, and items sourced mainly from second-hand shops, giving them new life and meaning.
All of Weronika’s figures are distinguished by black faces covered with white dots — a conscious reference to the culture of the Caro tribe, the smallest ethnic group in Ethiopia. Through this symbolic gesture, the artist pays tribute to equality and the acceptance of every human being as they were created — regardless of skin color, religion, intelligence, culture, gender, or orientation.
We will inform you about new artworks availability in the gallery or at the auction.
