Władysław Hasior
Władysław Hasior was born in 1928 and died in 1999. He studied at the Sculpture Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In the years 1957-68 he worked as a teacher at the Kenar School in Zakopane. In the years 1970-71 he worked as a set designer at the Polish Theater in Wrocław and a teacher at the local PWSSP. Known primarily as the creator of monumental sculptures and ephemeral actions connected with their implementation - the Solar Chariot, Flaming Birds, Fire Birds, Flaming Banners. Parallel to "Banners" and monumental projects, he created intimate sculptures. In the 1980s and 1990s, he created "Portraits" in the assemblage and collage technique. He created assemblages from 1957. He represented Poland at the Sao Paulo Biennale in 1965 and 1971, the Venice Biennale in 1970 and many other prestigious international exhibitions.
