Włodzimierz Janota

Włodzimierz Janota was born in 1952 in Lipowa near Żywiec. He lives and works in Cieszyn. He graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Bielsko-Biała. He deals with painting and applied graphics. His favorite technique is dry pastel, acrylic and oil. He likes to paint landscapes and portraits.

In 1979, he became a member of the Art Section at Macierz Ziemi Cieszyńskiej, under the leadership of Bolesław Nitra. He took part in the group's exhibitions. In the years 1975-1979 he participated in three art competitions on behalf of the Polish State Railways in Tarnowskie Góry, where he won the 1st and 3rd prize. He took part in open-air art workshops in Sucha Beskidzka im. W. Fronta (competition) with two second prizes. He took part in individual and collective exhibitions in Cieszyn, Wisła, Bielsko-Biała and in numerous open-air arts. Since 2000, he has been a member of the "Brzimy" Creative Association.
