Zofia Kodis-Freyer was born and lived in 1899-1992. She was a painter and author of artistic textiles, primarily creating kilims. Her mother, Józefa Krzyżanowska-Kodis, was a famous psychologist, philosopher and feminist, while her aunt, Ewa Krzyżanowska, was the wife of the president of IIRP, Gabriel Narutowicz.
Zofia Kodis-Freyer belonged to the "Ład" Artists' Cooperative, founded in 1926.
