Zsuzsa Mathe was born on May 4, 1964 in Budapest, Hungary. In primary school, she attended high school drawing and art history classes. In high school, she attended the prestigious Ferenczy Circle, a respected drawing and modeling class at the Academy of Fine Arts. After graduation, she completed a special printing course, where she learned the basics of color mixing and the secrets of printing retouching.

In 1984, her first exhibition "The Gate Between Within and Beyond" opened. At the same time, it became involved with the Duna Circle, an alternative environmental group to oppose the Danube dam. This later secured her a high position on the blacklists of then-communist Hungary.

Despite being blacklisted and followed regularly, the following years brought artistic productions with withdrawn promises (1985), Le Malade Imaginaire (1987), Shipwreck (1987) and a joint exhibition with the master class of the world-famous concert pianist George Cziffra.

Her works are often considered to be pioneers of the gothic subculture that is popular today. New Romantic (1984), Sedy Entry (1986), Sailor and Madonna (1986), Wo bist du? (1987) is one of the most characteristic works of this genre.

As a result of increasing surveillance, he leaves Hungary at the beginning of 1988. After learning the local language in 1990, she was admitted to the world-famous Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Today, after adventures all over the world, trying her strength in various fields and professions, she returned to Hungary. She paints and is invited to exhibitions in many art-loving countries, such as Switzerland, Italy and the USA.

He calls his painting style transrealism.

Transrealism is the art of the 21st century that fulfills the long-awaited return to basics: art is communication and should be understandable to the observer; does not expect the audience to be sophisticated or educated on the subject. Instead, it is the artist's responsibility to be sufficiently knowledgeable in his profession and the tools of the arts to be able to express himself, convey a message, and be widely understood.
