Stanisław Kamocki (1875–1944) was an artist primarily known for his landscape painting. His landscapes most often depict villages in the vicinity of Kraków, the Tatra Mountains, and the Podhale region. Kamocki’s painting style closely aligns with traditional Impressionism, where color patches, a light brushstroke, and the play of light together create a particularly delicate image. At the same time, he sought to simplify form — a popular artistic tendency of the period. Kamocki’s works represent a fusion of Polish motifs with the lightness of Impressionism and the use of synthetic means of expression.
