Return to the sea 43. New Art Auction
The Art in House Auction House returns to Sopot to spend another exciting evening with You. We start on August 8 (Saturday) at 19:30 in the historic Sierakowski Manor in Sopot (ul. Czyżewskiego 12) – will the 43rd New Art Auction break the record for the July art auction?
The last art auction organised by Art in House Auction House ended with almost half a million turnover; over 40,000 were paid for the works of Tomasz Kostecki and Lech Bator, the paintings of Edward Dwurnik, Wojtek Brewka and Wojciech Pelec also achieved excellent results.
The August catalog reveals the dark side of Art in House: you’ll see the Dutch shrouds of Agnieszka Sitko, the wonderfully framed act of Joanna Sarapata, the girl with the cat of Jan Dubrowin, the Victorian family portrait of Grzegorz Kufel, the medieval fairy tale of two sorceresses by Malwina de Brade, Christ the hostage by Boris Fiodorowicz, the mechanical hoopoe of Emil Goś or the baroque bird lady by Mariusz Zdybał.
If you are looking for something in slightly autumn colors, we suggest a crazy dance by Andrzej Sajewski, melancholic angel Sylwia Perczak, decorative owls by Katarzyna Stelmach and rooster wizard Małgorzata Piątek-Grabczyńska. Echoes of salon and academic painting can be found in the still life of Zbigniew Kopania, the marine composition of Wiesław Król, the antique beauty of Maciej Wierzbicki and the Three Graces of Wojciech Pelec. Watercolor lovers, in turn, we offer the Silver Queen Maria Szypluk (does it not evoke your associations with a character from “Game of Thrones”?), southern streets of Krzysztof Ludwin and an ethereal portrait of Anna Halarewicz.
The auction will be also full of our regulars: Wojtek Brewka with ecological subject, Tomasz Kostecki in art deco style and Andrejus Kovelinas, who will take us to the fairy tale world of Cinderella. Lech Bator’s beloved deer will also appear in the catalog.
If your attention is drawn to sculptures the most, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the intriguing ceramic figure of Marek Zyga, the mysterious flightless flight of Marcin Myśliwec, the king looking at his crown by Arek Szwed and the powerful head of the bull Jacek Opała.
All works can be seen live in the beautiful interior of the Sierakowski Manor in Sopot from August 7 at noon. Give up crowded Monciak, turn into Czyżewskiego Street and let yourself be invited to the unknown. Remember – art knows no bounds!
Welcome!
