Agnieszka Krawczyk
Agnieszka Krawczyk (d.o.b. 1976, Dębica) an artist, architect, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology, graduate of Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych (High School of Fine Arts) in Tarnów. Primarily paints abstract works on oil canvas. She skillfully blends minimalist concepts with geometric abstraction and subtle nods to cubism, crafting modern pieces from everyday inspirations. Her art, wrapped in quiet contemplation, encourages viewers to appreciate simplicity and find tranquility in the mundane. In her paintings, Agnieszka explores the issues of interaction between objects, strives to simplify shapes, reduces anything unnecessary, to gain enhanced expressive power. Has presented her work in numerous group exhibitions. Her works are in private collections in Poland and abroad, including in the Konik Kreatywny Collection and in Wiącek Collection. She currently lives and creates near Kraków.
Łukasz Wiącek – the curator of the National Museum in Lublin, collector, art expert, owner of the Wiacek Collection: "(...) Krawczyk is fascinated by the object to which she devotes the main place in her works, situating it in an undefined space that is constantly in motion. The artist tries to present a reality that is visible, but not obvious. The balancing between figurative representation and an abstract sign is therefore characteristic of the artist. The artistic language used by Krawczyk consistently strives to deform the existing form – understood here as an attempt to simplify it; to break it into almost twin planes, overlapping and penetrating each other. As a result, still lifes, broken into small abstract surfaces, are almost elusive as a whole. And the disturbing tensions between the planes are softened by coherent and complementary colors – which in turn leads to elusiveness, giving the impression of changing, interpenetrating and shimmering spatial forms.”
