Angelika Galus

Born in Krakow, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the Pedagogical University of National Education Commission in Krakow. She created her diploma in painting under the supervision of prof. Stanisław Sobolewski. During her studies, she obtained a scholarship and a distinction for the 1st degree diploma in 2009, she defended her master's degree and in 2012 she was admitted to the ZPAP Krakow Branch. Co-founder and co-creator of the Project "From the cave to the stars" under the Government Program for Social Activity of Elderly People. Currently, he lives and works in Krakow, mainly dealing with easel painting. He has participated in several individual and collective painting exhibitions and cultural initiatives. The works by Angelika Galus are in the collections of cultural institutions and private collectors in Poland and abroad. The artist creates pictures on the verge of reality - drawing from figuration, sometimes introducing elements of magical realism into it. Her work is divided into cycles, each of them is not only an artistic journey, but also an emotional journey for the artist. It is a search and solution for a given problem or issue at the same time, thus it is its answer presented on the canvas. Compositions from the series "Feeria Kwiatowa" are painted with intense, eye-catching color. The author optimistically brings to life, dynamic plant worlds, full of color and light. Each painting is another installment of a never-ending story of vitality and life.
