Freedom. An Exhibition of Paintings by Bożena Sieczyńska
The paintings of Bożena Sieczyńska invite viewers to explore the symbolism of minimalist scenes, sparse in color and detail. The recurring motif of women remains central to her work, interpreted in diverse ways. Sieczyńska places great emphasis on emotions, titling her successive series “Calm,” “Freedom,” and “Happiness.” Her paintings are characterized by a color palette limited to basic tones, enriched by white or black smudges. By eliminating unnecessary elements, the artist strives to achieve purity and harmony.
Bożena Sieczyńska's art, classified as figurative, reveals distinct and unique worlds of technical and visual qualities, narrative construction, and an understanding of the universality of the language of art. Gradually, the artist introduces abstract elements into her compositions: deforming figures, reducing details. Through these changes, Bożena Sieczyńska's works gain a more expressive and subjective resonance.
