Bronisław Kierzkowski is a Polish painter and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, born in 1924 in Łódź, died in 1993 in Warsaw. He studied in the years 1946-1947 at the former State Higher School of Fine Arts (today's Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź), and then in 1948–1950 at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Sopot, with Juliusz Studnicki. Władysław Strzemiński had the greatest influence on his artistic search.
Kierzkowski was a lecturer at the Department of Light and Color at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and ran painting studios at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In 1965, after teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he was awarded the title of associate professor. From 1978 he worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1987 he was appointed professor of this university.
