Dariusz Głowacki
Dariusz Głowacki is an artist born in 1965. In 1984-1989 he completed his master's studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. He received a diploma with honors at the Departments of Painting and Art Education (a diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Jerzy Kałucki under the supervision of Prof. Jarosław Kozłowski, a diploma in semiotics at the Faculty of Art Education under the supervision of Prof. Kazimierz Świrydowicz). In the years 1989-1990 he received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art for the most promising young artists. In 2012, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Arts in Poznań, Faculty of Painting.
He deals with painting, drawing, creating objects in space, writes and publishes texts on culture and art. He also lectures on art and broadly understood visual culture. He also works as a curator (including exhibitions: Venetian glass "Fresh Glass" in 2008, Light2 in 2015, Outside POZNANIE 2016). He is interested in the areas where art meets science, as well as the differences that seem to divide both domains of human activity. He desperately and naively believes in art.
Participant of scientific sessions, discussion panels and congresses (including Art - Science in 2014 and THE SECOND WORLD CONGRESS ON ANALOGY in 2017).
