Dariusz Kaleta

He was born in 1960 in Lubań Śląski. He received a thorough artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow at the Faculty of Graphics in Katowice. In 1987 he obtained a diploma in the studio of professor Tadeusz Grabowski, soon receiving an annex in the lithography studio of professor Tadeusz Gawron. He is known to a wide audience not only as a painter, but also as the director of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Kołobrzeg, active since 2002, giving viewers the opportunity to contact the works of outstanding masters of ancient and contemporary painting. As an artist, he realizes himself most fully in easel oil painting. Varied creativity, in which you can distinguish numerous inspirations, is always characterized by extraordinary care for its artistic workshop. Has over a dozen individual and group exhibitions. The artist was ranked 81st in the ranking of 300 most important artists from 1945 to the present day - Kompas Sztuki 2014 published in Rzeczpospolita 2015. The second issue of the quarterly "Artist and Art" (2012) featured an extensive discussion of Dariusz Kaleta's work.
