Jan Berdyszak
Jan Berdyszak lived in the years 1934-2014. He was an easel painter, sculptor, graphic artist, illustrator, stage designer and art theoretician. He was educated in the field of sculpture at the Poznań State College of Fine Arts. His work focused on the topic of space. His artistic activity also includes ephemeral actions.
He participated in many artistic events in Poland and outside our country. He was honored with the Poznań Artistic Award of the "Od Nowa" Club for his debut in the field of painting and drawing, as well as the Artistic Award of the City of Poznań.
The artist's works are in the collections of the largest cultural institutions in the country, e.g. at the National Museum in Wrocław, Warsaw and Krakow, the Museum of Art in Łódź, The Kościuszko Foundation in New York, Muzesum of Fine Art in Boston or Pushkin Museum in Moscow.
