Janusz Paweł Janowski
Janusz Paweł Janowski was born in 1902 in Warsaw. He died at the age of 80. From 1918, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under the tutelage of an outstanding representative of Young Poland, Józef Mehoffer. Then the artist continued his studies at the Warsaw Academy.
In 1925, Janowski went on a study trip. He visited Germany, the Netherlands, England, France and Italy, where he developed his painting workshop. Janowski was interested in people, which is visible in his work. More often than landscapes and still lifes, he painted characters, among whom you can find images of state dignitaries, actors, musicians and writers.
The 30th anniversary of Janowski's artistic work was solemnly celebrated in Warsaw, where the artist's works were presented at a collective exhibition at the Warsaw Zachęta Gallery.
