Jarosław Kozłowski
Jarosław Kozłowski (born May 15, 1949 in Gdańsk) is an outstanding Polish artist, known primarily as a conceptual artist and academic lecturer. He graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he received his diploma in 1971. In his work, he combines various media, including painting, drawing, installations and performances, many of which are intermedia in nature.
Kozłowski was one of the pioneers of conceptual art in Poland, and his works often explore the relations between language, image and reality. His projects are not only artistic manifestos, but also reflections on the condition of art in a social and cultural context. The artist seeks new forms of expression that question the traditional boundaries of art.
Kozłowski was also an active member of the artistic movement "Gruppa," which was founded in the 1980s and brought together artists seeking innovative forms of expression. Kozłowski's works have been presented at many national and international exhibitions, including renowned galleries and museums.
In addition to his artistic work, Kozłowski is also a valued teacher. For many years he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, educating successive generations of artists. His approach to teaching combines theory with practice, which inspires students to explore their own creativity.
