Joanna Sierko-Filipowska

Joanna Sierko-Filipowska was born in 1985. She graduated with honors from the Graphic Arts Department in Warsaw in the workshop of prof. Halina Chrostowska and painting studio of prof. Jerzy Tchórzewski. In 1986 she received a creative scholarship awarded by the Minister of Culture and Arts.

The artist's painting seems to be closer to the art of symbolists, post-romantics or Art Nouveau in the 19th century than the art of our time. Her paintings are extremely poetic, metaphysical and literary. The artist has completed over a dozen individual exhibitions and took part in group exhibitions at home and abroad.
