Katarzyna Fiszer

Katarzyna Fiszer is a photographer and food stylist. On a daily basis, she carries out commercial photosessions for her clients, mainly from the food industry.
As an archaeologist by education, she could not resist "smuggling" some motifs from the history of art into her works. Over time, it turned out into a separate, increasingly growing own project - photographing still lifes in reference to the classical paintings. Co-author of the culinary album "Tastes of Gdańsk", presenting historical cuisine in an unusual, painterly way. In these photographs, she focuses on capturing the chiaroscuro effect, characteristic of Baroque painting.

Photographs are printed on wood (UV printing technique). She believes that it is an interesting way, although on request, for selected works, she also makes Fine Art prints on photographic paper with archival durability.

Winner of the Storm of the Year 2022 award (a plebiscite of the Gazeta Wyborcza and the Pomeranian Voivodeship for cultural and public benefit events in the Pomeranian Voivodeship).
